Our admissions team will help you understand the cost of training and access the VA educational benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill (also known as the 911 Bill) and other available resources.

POST 9/11 GI BILL® – CHAPTER 33

  • 40% – 100% Veteran Educational Benefits Eligibility
  • VA pays school directly for tuition and fees
  • Housing allowance (BAH) is paid to student from the VA if applicable
Post 911 GI Bill

MONTGOMERY GI BILL® – CHAPTER 30

  • Two or more years of active duty
  • Payable for up to 10 years following active duty honorable discharge
  • VA pays student directly
  • Student responsible for paying tuition and fees
Montgomery GI Bill

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND EMPLOYMENT – CHAPTER 31

  • Assists Veterans with service-connected disabilities
  • VA pays school directly for tuition and fees
  • Housing allowance (BAH) is paid to student from the VA if applicable
Vocational Rehabilitation

SURVIVOR’S AND DEPENDENT’S EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE (DEA) – CHAPTER 35

  • Assistance for eligible dependents of permanently disabled or deceased Veterans whose injury/death occurred while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition
  • Son, daughter or spouse of Veteran deceased or 100% disabled
  • VA pays student directly for education benefits
  • Student is responsible for paying tuition and fees

SCHOOL LIBRARY

The bulk of the in‐house library at SCWTTC is made up of several complete curriculums along with applicable selected chapters from selected Goodheart – Willcox series, textbooks these include classes in safety, trade math, hand tools and the reading of drawings and blueprints. In addition we have several AWS reference books, including Terms and Definitions, Destructive Testing of Welds, Standard Symbols and Welding Inspector Technology. Also available are pipefitter and welding pocket manuals and handbooks from various publishers and several technical welding books.
All materials are available for students to use on premises during regular business hours.
